The historic Rosendale Theatre will come alive this Friday as the faculty and students of Vanaver Caravan’s two-week SummerDance workshop present an eclectic variety show full of fresh takes on the magic of live dance and music. Highlights include contemporary ballet by Charlotte Stickels, modern dance by Talli Jackson, Appalachian clogging by Livia Vanaver, and comedic theater sketches by Jonathan Kligler and Wiley Gorn. Music by Gabriel Vanaver and his students will accompany dynamic freestyle house dance moves, with world dance performances including Afro-Caribbean Soca from Ariana Brisport and lindy-hop routines by Rafal Pustelny.
