If anyone doubts that Phoenicia is a creative town full of art lovers, the Phoenicia Festival of the Arts will immediately disabuse you of those notions. It’s not a weekend festival, it’s not even a weeklong festival – this celebration stretches all over town for the entire month of August. Spearheaded by beloved local creative powerhouse Christina Varga, this second annual event includes poetry, music, ceremonies, creative workshops, talks and mixers, food and drink, and, of course, lots and lots of art from the area’s most talented creators.
