Hundreds gathered for the 93rd Woodstock Library Fair on Saturday, July 27 on Library Lane. The theme this year was “Eras,” inspired by the promotional poster for the Taylor Swift concert tour of the same name.

The festivities began with children parading down Comeau Drive across Tinker Street, down Library Lane and onto the library lawn for the annual maypole dance. Rock Academy veteran Olivia Siegel kicked off the music, followed by the Rock Academy Band, Robin the Hammer and others. The library fair also honored locals who have contributed to the community. This year’s honorees were Harry the Dummy (accompanied by comedian and ventriloquist Steve Charney) and D.J. Boggs, library director from 1981 until 2011.

The Kids’ Fun Park featured a dunk tank, face-painting, sword-making, a bounce house, an  inflatable water slide and entertainment.

Lynda Edmundson and Rana Spada spent last Saturday serving up sweet and savory treats with smiles at the Woodstock Library Fair.
Peggy Fusco and Diane Colello have spent decades supervising the creation of floral hats made of paper plates and rick rack in the Kids’ tent at the Woodstock Library Fair.
Woodstock’s Mike Pesoli (known as “The Hitman, Solid Gold Dancer) shows off his smooth moves as he dances with a friend at the library fair.
Students from the Rock Academy of Woodstock showcased their amazing talent with a spirited performance at last Saturday’s library fair.
A bounty of books for sale at the library fair.
