The 2nd annual Beacon Litfest is a three-day celebration of the literary arts that features a variety of readings, performances, workshops, parties, and more at the Howland Cultural Center. It kicks off Friday at 7pm with refreshments, music, and unique improvisational performances by The Core Improv group riffing on work by select local authors. Saturday at 1pm, several award-winning writers and literary professionals will read, including Pulitzer Prize winner Jennifer Egan. On Sunday, the fest concludes with live writing workshops led by notable local writers.
