Publisher and poet Will Nixon has put together an event to celebrate Earth Day and the late Saugerties environmentalist, historian, journalist and town supervisor Vernon Benjamin, with speakers Ned Sullivan and Kevin Smith. Nixon’s Bushwhack Press recently published “Crossing Divides,” an account of Benjamin’s 2916 visit to the Standing Rock Sioux tribe protests at Graveside Variety in Woodstock, 2pm.
