In the cold, dark days of February, many local establishments go into hibernation. Not so for West Kill Supply in Kingston, a tap room and event space that is packed with a wide array of delectable events this month.
West Kill is famous for its food and DJ pop ups, and this month features several: The La Ruta Del Sol food truck parks on Thu. 2/8, which also coincides with trivia night. There’s a Wood Fired Foods pop up on Fri. 2/9, with DJ Whippoorwill dropping a Mardi Gras-inspired vibe as music curator. There will be a pop up “potato bar” on Sat. 2/10 (sounds as mysterious as it does delicious). Eat Church brings their “food as punk as truck” gourmet Asian cuisine on Sun. 2/11 and Sat. 2/17 (when DJ Joe will appear to spin tunes). Need more? That Pasta Club will pop up their semolina sensations on Sun. 2/18 and Mon. 2/19.
Into ice fishing or want to learn more about the fast-growing pastime? West Kill’s “fish and game” aesthetic is not for show – the beer brewers are hosting an ice fishing clinic on Sat. 2/10 at North-South Lake in Hunter. Adirondack Ice Fishing will be performing demos, beer will be provided, but you must have a valid fishing license and a $25 admission fee.
