Contract awarded for dredging of Saugerties Village reservoirs

The Saugerties Village Board passed a resolution at its regular meeting on February 7 awarding a contract to dredge the Village reservoirs at a cost of $520,292. Four bids were received; the low bidder, to whom the contract was awarded, was Metropolitan Environmental Services of Hilliard, Ohio. Treasurer Paula Kerbert said the timing of the project is fortunate, as rates for the bonds are still low.
