Saugerties senior housing owner asks village to help refinance

The Town of Saugerties Planning Board took little time approving a two-lot subdivision of 38 acres on Charles Smith and Wilhelm Roads. The property owner, Patricia Williams proposes to sell 14 acres to Fred DeVito. No one signed up to speak at the public hearing on January 18, and the only question the board’s consultant, Max Stach had was whether a road maintenance agreement that would assure continued maintenance was in place should one of the parties sell. George Williams, who represented the seller, produced an agreement that Stach said was sufficient, and the board voted to approve the subdivision.
