Vacancy in Election District 4
The Saugerties Democratic Committee has one vacancy in Election District 4, which is located in the Village of Saugerties. While it is desirable that applicants reside in the District, it is not a requirement.
If you are interested in joining the Committee, you must be an enrolled Democrat who resides in the Town of Saugerties. If you wish to apply, contact Committee chair Lanny Walter at lanny@lanywalter.com and you will be sent information about the process to apply for membership. If you are interested in knowing more about the Committee’s activities without joining, send Walter your e-mail and you will be placed in the e-mail blast.
Candidates’ forums in Saugerties
The League of Women Voters of the Mid-Hudson Region is sponsoring candidates’ forums on Monday, October 18 at the Frank D. Greco Senior Center on Market Street in Saugerties.
There will be two sessions. Town of Saugerties Town Board candidates will be presented from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Candidates seeking office in County Legislature Districts 1, 2 and 3 will be presented from 8 to 9:15 p.m. After opening statements, written questions from the audience will be answered.
In order to have this live event, CDC guidelines will be followed, including wearing of masks and safe distancing.
