Four local New Paltz students will see a mural they created on display at the Peace Park. For their Participation in Government PIGLETS class, Paris White, Reeti Patel, Alana Florencio-Wain and Queen Irving were assigned capturing the meaning of being an American citizen as art, and fashioned something that attempts “to depict the complicated layers of being an American.”
The students will share this art with the community in order to facilitate a conversation about these important topics on Friday, June 4 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Peace Park.
