Just before adjourning on April 27, the Gardiner Planning Board held its “annual meeting,” at which new officers are elected. It was the first meeting at which former alternate Becky Fullam took her seat as a full member, replacing the recently retired Ray Sokolov. Fullam was persuaded – “voluntold,” as one of her colleagues phrased it – to assume Sokolov’s duties as Planning Board secretary as well.
Keith Libolt, who has served for the last year as vice chair, asked to step down from that role, suggesting that it was a responsibility that ought to be experienced by all Planning Board members on a rotating basis. He nominated Ralph Varano to succeed him, and Varano accepted.
Rob Boettcher has replaced Fullam in the post of alternate Planning Board member. We apologize for the erroneous spelling of his name in Hudson Valley One’s April 20 issue.
