Village of Saugerties approves water department truck purchase

The Village of Saugerties has received only one bid for a one-ton utility truck, Saugerties Village Water Department Superintendent Mike Hopf said at the March 15 Village Board meeting. “Sawyer Motors was the sole bidder, and I ask the board to approve the bid for option number three, which includes an aluminum utility body for the back, for the sum of $37,611.50.” The board voted unanimously to grant the money for the truck.
