Yesterday at around 6 p.m., Saugerties police responded to a 911 call reporting a male had been stabbed at a residence on Route 212 in the town of Saugerties. Upon arrival, officers located a 36-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics from DIAZ Ambulance and transported to the Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus for further treatment.
Investigation by police established that the victim and 50-year-old Patrick Green, both residing at 446 Route 212, were arguing when the argument turned physical. During the altercation Green stabbed the victim in the abdomen with a dangerous instrument, causing a non-life-threatening injury to the victim’s abdomen. Green was arrested and charged with the second-degree assault, a felony. Green was arraigned in the Town of Saugerties Justice Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
