Pop-up Crystal Trunk Show at Mirabai in Woodstock

This Saturday, August 24, in the gallery space at Mirabai of Woodstock, you’ll have an opportunity to browse through hundreds of superior-quality pieces of amethyst, citrine, quartz, pyrite, agate, ammonite, petrified wood and other fine stones as Aurora Minerals of Freeport brings in its Pop-up Crystal Trunk Show. Aurora is a leading purveyor of crystal, stone and fossil specimens whose client list includes the Harvard University Museum, the Smithsonian and the Museum of Natural History. The rock hunt goes on from noon to 6 p.m. on August 24, and admission is free.

Coming up on Tuesday evening, Mirabai will host a “Meet Your Animal Guides” workshop. This guided meditation will be led by shamanic healer Rebecca Singer, author of Singing into Bone. Singer’s studies have included 13 years of work with a Lakota healer, five years of assistance from a Costa Rican shaman and a time spent living among the women shamans of the Reindeer People in Mongolia. She will help attendees meet their spirit totems, learn to call on them and understand how they want to be of help throughout one’s life. This workshop runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on August 27 and costs $20 up until August 25, $25 if registering thereafter.
