Tap NY Craft Beer & Food Festival at Hunter

A mega-immersion in microbrews

Over 22 years, the Tap New York Craft Beer & Food Festival has evolved into New York State’s largest craft beer festival in terms of the number of brewers attending, which would seem to be the most important metric. Tap celebrates artisanal beer from small makers – no major corporate brands, even the ones that disguise themselves as boutique and micro. The Festival features pale ales, pilseners, weisbiers, porters, stouts, Scotch ales and much more, from hearty Bohemian and Bavarian-style lagers to glorious Belgian-style ales. Plenty of great food is available as well, and entertainment too. It all takes place on Hunter Mountain on the last weekend in April.

Hours are Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

Tap New York Craft Beer & Food Festival, Saturday/Sunday. Apr. 28, 29, Hunter Mountain, 64 Klein Ave., Hunter, (518) 263-4223, www.tap-ny.com
