The city of Kingston was well-represented last week in the category of first babies of 2018 at hospitals on both sides of the river.
At HealthAlliance Hospital’s Broadway Campus’ Family Birth Place, Ethen Harden, son of Katherine Gregory and Christopher Harden of Kingston, was born at 1:57 p.m. on New Year’s Day. Ethan arrived at six pounds, 15 ounces and 21 inches long.
At the Neugarten Family Birth Center at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, Greyson Christopher Cusano-O’Halloran was born at 10:46 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1, weighing nine pounds and one ounce. The due date was Dec. 28.
Parents Amber and Chris Cusano-O’Halloran of Kingston had hoped for a Christmas baby, according to a press release from the hospital, but a New Year’s birthday came as a fun surprise. The couple’s first child, Scarlett, is as excited as ever about her new sibling. “Scarlett has been going up to everyone introducing him as her baby brother,” Cusano-O’Halloran said.
