baseball silhouette 1The Saugerties Stallions baseball team has a new advisory board. According to a release, the Stallions would like “to set a business model for other businesses to follow.” The members of the board are described as “staggering and energizing.”

The nine member Saugerties Stallions’ Advisory Committee include: Co-chair Kevin Hinchey, owner of the Saugerties Stallions, owner and operator of H&H Environmental and Comfort Tech; co-chair Greg Helsmoortel, town of Saugerties supervisor, owner of Helsmoortel Realty & Insurance; Brendan Amodio, owner/operator of Mirabellas; Greg Chorvas, superintendent of town Parks and Buildings; Tim Murphy, Saugerties lawyer; Bill Murphy, Village of Saugerties mayor, chairman of the Saugerties youth basketball program; Joe Sinagra, Saugerties chief of police; Larry Siracusano, owner/operator of Sawyer Chevrolet in Catskill; Tom Whittaker, former minor league baseball player, instrumental in the success of the Saugerties Dutchmen organization.

The board will meet monthly during May, June and July and every three months during the club’s offseason.

Another committee, the Baseball Operations Committee, will be announced in the near future.

The Saugerties Stallions are sponsoring the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce breakfast on Nov. 18 at Diamond Mills in Saugerties.
