pipeline-sqAn informational meeting on the Pilgrim Pipeline scheduled for Thursday, June 18 has been cancelled. The town did not say if the meeting would be rescheduled.

The meeting concerned a proposed oil pipeline from Albany to New Jersey which would pass through Saugerties. Many other towns have taken a position already. The Saugerties Town Board has said it wants to hold a meeting first.

Speakers from the company as well as Riverkeeper, Catskill Mountainkeeper and Citizens Against Pilgrim Pipeline were to speak, and a period for public comment was scheduled.
