The postmaster general plans to Bulldoze 82 plants from across the country including the Mid-Hudson Processing Facility in Newburgh. The date for this closure is April 18.
Since 2006 this postmaster general has bulldozed approximately 353 plants. We have 276 left. The Eagle cannot survive another 82 plant closures. Delayed mail has occurred in alarming volumes because of these 353 lost plants.
On Jan. 5, 2015 the postmaster general relaxed the service standards on all first class mail so nothing gets from one location to another overnight. Mail from Newburgh to Hurley is taking 5-6 days!
We need community help! This is a community issue around the country. Stand up with us and protect our mail service.
You can do this by reaching out our Congressional Representatives and tell them you want timely delivery of your mail and you vote!
