Amy Gillespie, Marissa Piazza and Matthew Pilek.

Calling all New Paltz Central School District community members! The New Paltz United Teachers is pleased to support and endorse Amy Gillespie, Marissa Piazza and Matthew Pilek as write-in candidates for the New Paltz Central School District Board of Education. Their shared goals and visions align with our hopes for the future of the district and our desire for a collaborative relationship among all stakeholders. WRITE-IN their names on Tuesday, May 20th!

• Amy Gillespie is a seasoned educator and administrator, and she will serve as a dedicated advocate for every student. As a longtime resident, Amy is committed to fostering equity, engagement and collaboration. Her vision includes restoring pride in our district to make it a destination for families seeking exceptional schools and programs.

• Marissa Piazza is running to support our students, teachers and our future. As a parent in the district, her focus is on mental health and sound fiscal management. She will work to build a “family” culture where teachers, administrators and the community collaborate on decisions.

• Matthew Pilek is a dedicated educator and proud union member (NYSUT, UUP) and who believes in productive and constructive dialogue and fostering bilateral communication to ensure progress for all students. His focus includes advancing students’ mental and physical wellbeing.
