History lesson with Dr. William Rhoads

church HZTDr. William Rhoads, author of Ulster County, New York: The Architectural History and Guide, will speak at a meeting of the Plattekill Historical Society on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2 p.m., at the Clintondale Firehouse on Route 44/55. The presentation will feature Ulster County’s rich architectural history with a focus on the Town of Plattekill and the surrounding areas.

Rhoads is a retired professor of architectural history at SUNY New Paltz and is well-known for his work focusing on the history of Ulster County. Copies of his book will be available for purchase at the program.

The yearly election of officers of the Plattekill Historical Society will also take place at the Jan. 19 meeting.
