WOODSTOCK… Steven Mark Ward, 77, of Deming St. Woodstock, passed away peacefully at home early Monday morning, March 22, 2021.
Son of the late Milton H. Ward and Nora Fingerhood Ward, he graduated from Baldwin High School in Long Island, and Bard College, then sought a Masters degree in eastern philosophy from New York University.
Steve proudly resided in Woodstock over 25 years, but spent many years abroad in Greece, India, Kenya and Ethiopia in self-discovery and exploration. He was a unique free spirit, a true child of the 1960’s era, with an unwavering curiosity and intellect, and a wife and friends whom he deeply appreciated and to whom he demonstrated remarkable generosity and love. He is survived only by his wife Magdalena Arenas Ward (married in 2017).
