At approximately 1 pm on Friday, Oct. 31, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office alerted the public to a “serious motor vehicle accident on State Route 44/55 between Mele Lane and Heidi Lane” in Gardiner.
According to a statement, police said they expect that stretch of road to be closed “for an extended period of time” and urged drivers to avoid the area at this time.
