Moody Blues and Wings alumnus Denny Laine is the latest, best-qualified artist to play the whole-album tribute game, bringing his recreation of the Beatles’ Abbey Road to the Bearsville Theater on Saturday, November 9 at 9 p.m. Laine is also perhaps the best-qualified and most-certified for the job short of Sir Paul himself. McCartney’s longtime friend, Laine is a veteran of George Martin-helmed sessions at Abbey Road and was also the lead vocalist on “Go Now,” the first hit for the Moody Blues. Laine will augment the 40+ minutes of Abbey Road with other hits from Wings, the Moody Blues and other ‘60s classics.
Tickets cost $35 in advance and $40 day of the show. This is a seated show, with seating assigned first-come, first-served. The Bearsville Theater is located at 291 Tinker Street in Woodstock. For more information, call (845) 679-4406 or visit www.bearsvilletheater.com.
