Audrey (Aldridge) Roach age 94, of New Paltz died Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY.
Born in St. Albans, Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late William Aldridge and Kathleen (Delaney) Aldridge. She married Thomas Roach on December 26, 1953, at St. Catherine of Siena Church in St. Albans, NY. She has resided in New Paltz for 60 years and was most recently lovingly cared for by the wonderful staff at Ingersoll Place, Niskayuna, NY.
Audrey was a member of the Parish of St. Joseph’s Church in New Paltz, where she has served on the Parish Council and as a Eucharist Minister.  After raising her children, she was employed for many years at Phillip’s Jewelers in New Paltz.
Surviving Audrey are her children: Jane and John Winters, Neal O’Reilly, Tom and Nancy Roach, Brian and Brenda Roach, Kathleen and Neal Kenslea, Mary Beth and Joe Grasso; eighteen grandchildren: Keith, Meghan, Melissa, Patrick, Kyle, Michael, Lauren, Jessica, Kayla, Jacob, Danny, David, Sara, Dylan, Erin, Jack, Maggie, and Sean; 15 great-grandchildren (and 2 more on the way): many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Tom and her daughter, Peg O’Reilly. She was also predeceased by her siblings Donald Aldridge, Kay (Aldridge) Bennett and William Aldridge.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 1st from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm at Copeland-Hammerl Funeral Home, 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday September 2, 2024, at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Church, 34 South Chestnut Street, New Paltz.Â
