Linda Marie Cahill, 65, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on April 3, 2024 at Sapphire Nursing & Rehabilitation in Newburgh, NY. Linda was born on December 20, 1958 in Union City, NJ to parents Ruth and Edward Cahill. Linda was the eldest sibling to Edward, Nora and William Cahill.
Throughout her life, Linda dedicated herself to the healing power of art and creative expression. As an art teacher, Linda helped countless individuals in the Neuro-Rehabilitation Program at the Northeast Center with her passion for creativity, fostering their talents and encouraging them to express themselves. Her therapeutic work touched the lives of many, providing support and solace to those in need.
Linda is survived by her daughter Jessica and husband James Hall, her granddaughter Audrey Hall, her brother William & wife Annika Cahill, her sister Nora Cahill and her sister in law, Peggy Cahill. She had 7 nieces and nephews; Robert Cahill, Erin Kuhnen, Randy Cahill, Nevaeh VanSickle, Lily Cahill, Winston Cahill and Gustav Cahill. Linda is also survived by many loving cousins she grew up with.
Linda is predeceased by her mother Ruth Cahill, father Edward Cahill and her brother Edward Cahill.
Above all, Linda cherished her role as mother to Jessica and as a nana to Audrey. She poured her love and wisdom into their lives, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. Linda’s love for art was evident in everything she did, whether it was through her teaching, her therapeutic practice, or simply in the way she embraced life with her vibrant spirit. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. At her request, there will be a private memorial service with family.
