The Rosendale Theatre is bringing back Doug Motel’s award-winning one-man show “Shiva Arms” this Friday and Saturday, August 2 and 3 at 8 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the capital campaign currently in progress to preserve and renovate the theatre, adding wheelchair access and redoing the facade. (Enter the theatre during renovations using the side entrance on the east side of the building.)
Tickets are $15 with advance purchase or $18 at the door. The show, written and performed by Rosendale resident Doug Motel, takes audience members on a journey into the lives of eleven dysfunctional tenants living in a run-down apartment building in Hollywood. The show has been seen nationwide and was recently produced in Italy. In October, it will be featured in the United Solo Theatre Festival in New York City.
