Irma Bragg

Irma “Vonnie” Bragg, 95, of Commons Lane and formerly of Blue Mountain died Monday, September 5, 2022 at her Glasco residence surrounded by her family. Born September 13, 1926 in Boston, MA., She was the daughter of the late Heino and Hilda von Goehde.

A Saugerties area resident since 1963, she previously resided in Arvonia, VA. She worked for many years as a associate broker for Grist Mill Realty in Saugerties. Vonnie was a member of the Saugerties Reformed Church and the Garden Club of America. She was involved in the early years of the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival, and supported & volunteered at local historic sites. Vonnie was a passionate gardener, cook and entertainer. She appreciated the fine arts; and to that end traveled extensively in Europe with family.

Vonnie loved Cape Cod, the Hudson River, the Catskill mountains, all things Saugerties, and her lovely friends and neighbors.

Predeceased by her husband of forty years, John, a daughter, Amy Bragg, and a grand daughter, Claire Flood. Survivors include two sons: Stuart Bragg of NYC and Peter Bragg of Colorado. Four grandchildren also survive, Emily Bragg, Oliver Bragg, John Bragg, and Alice Flood.

Her Service of Remembrance will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the Saugerties Reformed Church, Main St. Saugerties.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Scenic Hudson.
