Mayor William Murphy and trustees Patrick Landewe and Jeannine Mayer were administered the oath of office at the village’s April 6 meeting. Trustee Brian Martin, who was also re-elected, was not at the meeting.
In a short comment made after taking the oath of office, Murphy said his main goal for this year is to begin the process to bring solar energy to Village Hall on Partition St.
“We are also going to talk to the Boys and Girls Club people to see if they want to get in on this as well.”
The Boys and Girls Club building is located adjacent to Village Hall.
Murphy said a number of companies have asked to come in and talk to trustees about putting solar panels on the roof to generate electricity, and this year “we’re going to move on this.”
