The 56th Annual Mum Festival was held in Seamon Park in Saugerties last Sunday, October 10. There were childrens’ activities, local community not-for-profit organizations, a petting zoo, scavenger hunt for children, art shows, live music and food. This year marked the 111th anniversary of Seamon Park, named after John Seamon, who generously donated the park to the Village of Saugerties in 1809. The festivities also included the Mum Queen and her court presenting flowers, courtesy of the Saugerties Society of Little Gardens. The Mum Festival Committee is looking for new members.
