Common Core information night in Saugerties

The Saugerties School District will host a Common Core Parent Information Night for parents of students in grades K-8 on Monday, Nov. 17 from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Saugerties High School auditorium. From 6:30–7:30 p.m. there will be four breakout sessions running concurrently, covering ELA K-5, ELA 6-8, math K-5, and math 6-8. The same sessions will be repeated from 7:30–8:30 p.m. for the convenience of parents with students in both elementary and junior high school. Light refreshments will be served. The Saugerties High School Key Club will provide babysitting and homework help. The program is presented by representatives of Ulster BOCES Instructional Services. Parents are encouraged to attend and ask questions about Common Core learning standards.
