New York State Police today arrested Gaston Stone, 39, of the town of Plattekill, for second-degree harassment (violation), fourth-degree criminal mischief (misdemeanor), and two counts fourth-degree grand larceny (felonies).
According to police, Stone went into the home of an acquaintance without permission and removed two cell phones from occupants at the home and then took car keys and stole a vehicle from one of the occupants. He then fled the location. Stone was later located in the city of Newburgh with the vehicle and was taken into custody by the City of Newburgh Police Department. He was taken to the State Police Barracks in Highland where he was processed for the above listed charges. Stone was arraigned at Town of Plattekill Court in lieu of $5,000 cash/$10,000 bond.
