All manner of hot rods and classic cars from years past will line the streets of the village this Sunday, July 7 from 1-6 p.m. for the 16th annual Sawyer Motors Car Show. Some 500 cars and over 15,000 people are expected, while seven local bands play set up on village street corners. At 4:30 p.m., local philanthropist and car dealer Bob Siracusano will announce donations to various groups and individuals in need — the entirety of the proceeds goes toward charities. When asked which charities would be chosen this year, he simply said “I like to surprise people.” Area car clubs will give out prizes for the best-looking and most unique vehicles in show.
Siracusano said that the ultimate goal of the event was to ensure that “everyone has a great time and all of the village businesses and restaurants have their best day of the year.”
