To Representative Delgado — thank you, for supporting and voting in favor of the Dream and Promise Act. In joining New York Dreamers like myself, community leaders, and constituents for dinner to celebrate this monumental step forward, Rep. Delgado reaffirmed his commitment to the immigrant community in his district. This is the fourth time in more than 30 years that a congressional chamber has passed a positive immigration bill. This is deeply meaningful for me, a DACA recipient who knows no other place other than Hudson Valley as home. This bill would dramatically change my life and the lives of hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers who contribute to their communities day after day. We’re grateful for Rep. Delgado’s time to have a productive conversation focused on solutions for Dreamers, and I believe we have an ally in Rep. Delgado.
