Emily Hakim, daughter of Steve and Judy Hakim of Hurley, and Heidi Jorgensen, daughter of John and Kim Jorgensen of Saugerties, were each awarded first place in their respective levels of individual cheer routines at the competition held in Lincroft, New Jersey on Jan. 19. Both are coached by Shelly Rinaldo of Gym Stars in Saugerties.
