Operation SOS (Support our Servicepeople) held its 10th anniversary shipping and packing event on Dec. 10. At this event SOS was presented with two cartons of hand-knitted hats, helmets, headbands, wrist warmers and neck gators to include in their care packages being sent to deployed American Servicemen in for the Christmas holiday and winter season. The handmade items were made by RSVP Kingston crafters group who have been in service for 20 years. Sue Boughton is the leader of this group which utilizes patterns from Operation Toasty Toes. The Kingston American Legion Post 150 provided funding for the materials.
