The New Paltz Central School District’s independent research partner, K12 Insight, will be presenting the results of a Start Time Survey conducted with parents, staff and high school students on Wednesday, January 4 during the regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting. A community forum on the survey results, along with a dialogue with the Board of Education, will be facilitated by K12 Insight on Thursday, January 5, 7 p.m., at New Paltz High School.
The Board of Education has conducted focus group sessions which invited feedback from parents, staff and students on potential benefits and challenges of changing school start times. The focus groups were just one of several outreach efforts that were undertaken this past school year.
You can learn more about the survey results after January 4 and other community outreach efforts by visiting the School Start Time Initiative quick link on the district’s website.
