Isabella Tuccillo, 2, enjoys the early strawberry harvest at the June 8 Saugerties Farmers Market

The Saugerties Farmers Market is celebrating Fathers’ Day weekend with its annual Strawberry Fest 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, June 15. Satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth with chocolate-dipped strawberries from this week’s chef demo by Rae Stang, owner of Lucky Chocolates. Other vendors will offer strawberry items including Me-Oh-My Foods, Sunporch Baked Goods, Karen’s Country Kitchen, and Sow Good Bakery; shoppers can purchase pies, muffins, waffles, macaroons, cupcakes, and even gluten-free strawberry-rhubarb pie. For the first time this season, Jane’s ice cream will be available. In addition to these sweets, vendors will offer their usual array of vegetables, and prepared food for breakfast and lunch. For children, Saugerties Art Lab will help them create tissue collage animals and plants. The summer market is open every Saturday through October 19 at 115 Main St., across from Cahill Elementary School.
