Lifeguards are needed by the Village of Saugerties to staff the village beach and the kiddie wading pool at the Lions’ Club Playground. Pay is $11 per hour. The job runs from July 1, when the beach and pool open, until the Labor Day weekend, when the two swimming spots close for the year.
George Terpening, village superintendent of parks, buildings and grounds. oversees the operations of the beach and pool. He said the village was looking to hire three lifeguards for the summer.
