Back in August, Gardiner’s contest for supervisor became an actual race when town Councilman Rich Koenig announced he’d run against incumbent supervisor Carl Zatz.
Koenig, an independent, didn’t originally plan to run. But he felt that Gardiner citizens deserved a choice other than Zatz on Nov. 5’s ballot.
Zatz, a Democrat, wants to retain his seat and continue the work he’s done so far.
Koenig has the endorsement of the Conservative Party and the Independent Party.
Zatz is running on the Democratic and Working Families lines.
