The Orange County Flea Market will open for its sixth season on Saturday, March 31 (weather permitting), at the Orange County Fairgrounds’ large parking lot in Middletown. The market, which features new and old items, as well as food, runs every Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April through November, and will also be open during the annual Orange County Fair. Public admission is free, as is the parking.
According to manager Sam Stell, the Orange County Flea Market is considered the fastest-growing flea market in the region, attracting vendors and shoppers from a wide geographic area: “You can still find many vendors here from the old flea markets at Maybrook, Dutchess Mall in Fishkill and Matamoras.”
Vendors can start setting up as early as 6:30 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations or contracts are required for a 20-by-20-foot outdoor space. Stell says that the Middletown flea market also welcomes families looking to host their yard sales at the communal event. For more information, visit www.ocfleamarkets.com or call (845) 282-4055.
