Driver in Rt. 212 head-on collision charged with DWI

A Woodstock woman faces several charges after the car she was driving struck that of a Saugerties man yesterday afternoon, resulting in minor injuries.

Jacqueline M. Manganaro, 56, of Tinker St. Woodstock, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, misdemeanor driving while ability impaired by drugs, and failure to keep right. According to police, who received the 911 call at 3:07 p.m. Thursday, July 9, Manganaro was operating a 2000 Volkswagon Passat eastbound on State Rt. 212 when she crossed over the double-yellow line and struck a 2008 Honda SUV operated by 53-year-old Dwayne Doyle of Saugerties.

Doyle sustained minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene by paramedics from DIAZ Ambulance. The Centerville Cedar Grove Fire Department and Fire Police assisted at the scene.
