Farmageddon 2012, a 12-hour festival to benefit the musical arts education in the Saugerties schools, will be held Saturday, Aug. 4 from noon to midnight at 110 Lauren Tice Rd. in Saugerties. Music, arts & crafts, food, and local bands and DJs will meet in a pastoral field with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to benefit the Saugerties Central School District’s Musical Arts department, to help with replacing funds lost through budgetary measures.

Organized by Bill Cusack and Lacey McMahon, siblings and lifelong residents of Saugerties. Musical performances kick off at noon, featuring Spin Cycle Lava, Voodelic, Martyr Art, The New Creek People, Zonder Kennedy & the Scoville Junkies, The Jonny Monster Band, The Band of Strings, Lex Grey and the Urban Pioneers, Liquid Ernie and Funk Button. Refreshments will be available from Dave’s Coffee House, Pippy’s hotdog truck and Jumpin’ Jack Flash Kitchen on Wheels. Tickets are $40 at the gate or available by contacting Bill at (845) 514-8400 or Lacey at (845) 943-0333. Age 21-and-over only. For more information, email farmageddon2012@yahoo.com. Parking fees included in ticket price. Coolers are allowed, but no glass bottles.
