On Saturday, June 16 at 1 p.m. Grant D. Morse school will host a free event featuring over 20 performers and acts, headlined by singer/songwriter/guitarist Patrick Droney, the John Schrader Band and Carl Mateo. The objective is to give local young musicians a forum to play with professional and seasoned artists in a festival environment. The grand dream is to construct a three-season outdoor amphitheatre in honor of longtime music teacher Dennis Jones, to be used for concerts and plays, where students can share their talents. Attendees can play volleyball, softball, pickle ball and wiffleball, and the new Morse playground will be accessible for children. All are welcome. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and share rides, as parking is limited. For more information, visit www.patrickdroney.com, www.carlmateo.com, or www.johnschraderband.com.
