The Diamond Mills Hotel had planned a late September opening, with the adjacent conference center and restaurant to follow a month later. But the management now says the hotel will open at the same time as the rest of the buildings.
Having some of the property still under construction, with no access to the restaurant and its view of the waterfall, would have been a “less than perfect experience,” said Lisa Hantes, director of sales and marketing.
The project includes a 31-room hotel, conference center (capacity of 400 to 600-plus) and restaurant. It’s owned by HITS (formerly Horseshows In The Sun) President Tom Struzzieri and cost an estimated $10-12 million.
