Union Street Brewing Co. is bringing its Hudson craft beer buzz to Kingston this week, opening a new taproom on the Rondout waterfront this Thursday at 5pm. The address is 36 Broadway, which is the former Half Moon Rondout Cafe space (the cafe moved across the street a couple years ago).
The Kingston location will feature a dozen Union Street beers brewed in Hudson, plus cider, wine, cocktails, and some nonalcoholic options, with a small food menu built around flatbreads, pretzels with beer cheese, and shareable snacks. The taproom is designed as a modern-but-cozy hangout with a large bar, mixed seating, and access to outdoor space when the weather cooperates.
Union Street’s flagship in Hudson has built a following for hop-forward IPAs, crisp lagers, and seasonals made with local ingredients, and the Kingston outpost is expected to mirror that rotating draft list while offering cans to go. The new taproom will open with evening hours during the week and longer days on weekends, positioning itself as both a pre-dinner stop and a late-night option for the waterfront.
