A 35-year-old man from Pine Bush, formerly employed as a corrections officer at Wallkill State Correctional Facility, has been indicted on charges including predatory sexual assault against a child, first-degree aggravated sexual abuse, and first-degree incest, according to court records.
Thomas Banks, Jr. was formally arraigned in Ulster County Court on September 11 following an investigation led by the New York State Police. During the course of the investigation, Banks stepped down from his position at the facility.
Following his arraignment, he was ordered held at Ulster County Jail with bail set.
