Hot on the heels of two separate unexplained fires in Ulster County, the Kingston Police Department is currently examining the circumstances surrounding a fire that took place in the early hours of August 19, 2025, at Loughran Park.
According to police, emergency services responded shortly after 3:00am when the Kingston Fire Department was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a dugout on fire. The blaze was quickly brought under control, but authorities have not yet determined what sparked the incident.
The investigation into the cause and origin of the fire remains ongoing.
