Teenager used brick to assault victim in Kingston, police say

A stabbing occurred “in the area of Broadway between Elmendorf and East St. James Streets” at an unspecified time on Wednesday, August 13, according to Kingston Police.

Police issued a very brief statement that included the following assurance: “We do not believe there is any threat to the public and we have cleared the area at this time.”

Police did not disclose the nature of the victim’s injuries.

The KPD asks anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 845-331-1671.

The area of Broadway referenced by police is frequented by a number of homeless, mentally ill and drug-addicted residents who often hang out in and around the Radio Kingston courtyard, with occasional skirmishes breaking out.
