The Kingston Waterfront was the scene of yet another incident involving the illegal discharge of a firearm according to a statement yesterday by the Kingston Police Department.
Police say shots were fired at the Rondout Gardens Apartment Complex prior to responders arriving on scene at approximately 6:54pm on Monday, July 1. Police were responding to a domestic dispute call.
The investigation remains open, and no further information was released by officials.
Police recently apprehended a man they allege fired shots at a residence and vehicle at nearby Leonard and Vera Van Dyke Apartments in December of last year. They also arrested a man in May after accusing him of firing shots at the same apartment complex, and took in yet another man accused of shooting and injuring a victim at Wiltwyck Gardens Housing Complex on March 25 of this year.
All apartment complexes where the shootings occurred are overseen by Kingston Housing Authority, which manages several hundred low-income rental units in the city.
